Love Letter From JAPAN!:
Dear my hero the Sprockettes,
Hello! Konnichiwa, Iam Rie from Japan, a leader of Gacharinco! - Girls Bike Dance Team in Nagoya. Thank you for the great wonderful comments on Candy Cranks blog. Im still impressed and excited, I was way too excited, couldn't sleep that nite!!
I truly appreciate it and am very grateful that we are able to express our bike dance scene via Candy Cranks blog across the ocean. I used to live in San Diego for 6 years from 2000-2006. I sometimes go back to see my friends there once a year. if theres a change to see you guys, I would love to meet you guys and see your live performance!
we don't have any plans to fly to the US anytime soon and it is far out... actually it would be a little bit hard for us to get all members together to go to different country. some girls have their kids and family stuff... I AM READY all of the time, yay!!
I finally received our 1st stage video and uploaded to Candy Cranks blog today. I would love you to enjoy to see and hope you like it?

Message: I had intended to send you an email for some time now, but have only just gotten around to it. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for inspiring me to buy a bicycle, which has now become my primary form of transportation. It has significantly enhanced my quality of life. I figured during this time of the troupe's dormancy, I might offer whatever encouragement that comes from one person's sincere appreciation for what you do. It's like this. I moved to Portland early last spring and in the course of exploring the town, I stumbled across one of your performances. It was unlike anything I'd seen before - surprising and fun and sexy, and I suppose Portlandesque. Shortly thereafter I went in search of a bike; I wanted to join in on the fun, you see. I'm sure your members are motivated by a variety of factors, but to the extent that your purpose is to inspire, entertain, and enrich the community, in at least one case, it has been met. Thanks again.
The following in came after our Midwest Tour 2009:
Hey! Thanks for coming to Bloomington! I caught both your performances here and enjoyed them immensely. Definitely come back if you're ever in this part of the country again. Here's something I noticed on my way to lunch last Tuesday while walking past the Runcible Spoon. I couldn't help but commit it to film--

Hello Fabulous Amazing and Wonderful Sprockettes! Thank you for the inspiring and life changing show. I have been wanting to form a bike dance troupe in Madison for a while now and your performance last night sealed it. I talked with Sprockettes after the show about getting your zine for ppl interested in starting their own dance troupe. I will stay in touch about the Bike Caravan headed to the Mayan ruins from Madison in the year 2012. Your troupe would fit right into our mission to demonstrate that the bicycle is not only a real form of community-building transportation, but a source for our enjoyment and social liberation as we move away from the capitalist, fossil-fuels based economy. Thank you sooooo much for your good energy and fun!
